The infrastructure required to safely manage hazardous automotive components at the end of their lifecycle, or during critical safety recalls, is often fragmented or non-existent. Traditional vehicle dismantling and scrap metal recycling operations are fundamentally unequipped to handle Class 9 dangerous goods, such as undeployed airbag modules or compromised lithium-ion battery packs, without exposing their personnel and the environment to severe risks.

Upon arrival at our facilities, components are placed into strict quarantine. Our sites feature advanced access control, fire suppression systems tailored for chemical and electrical fires, and reinforced isolation chambers for compromised lithium-ion batteries that pose a thermal runaway risk.

Operational execution must be matched by rigorous documentation. We provide a documented, unbroken chain of custody for every single unit we process. From the moment a recalled airbag or end-of-life battery is handed over to SARE, it is tracked via granular batch control systems.

This traceability culminates in comprehensive project reporting, including photographic evidence of destruction and formal Certificates of Destruction, providing OEMs with the audit-ready data required by international safety boards and environmental regulators.
